PLAYtime! 2026 - The Amazing Sarong
A sarong that becomes a sail, a hideout, and a superhero cape, all in one day? For Nora and Adi, anything's possible!
Part of Esplanade's PLAYtime!, an interactive theatre series for children aged 3 to 6, The Amazing Sarong follows two siblings through a day of make-believe, laughter, and small surprises.
It’s a gentle, joyful reminder for families that the best adventures don’t need fancy, expensive toys. Sometimes, all you need is a little imagination and something already lying around the house.
More than just a fun day at the theatre, The Amazing Sarong weaves essential life skills into the fun. As Nora and Adi navigate their playtime, young audiences are gently guided to notice, understand, and care for the feelings of those around them, planting the early seeds of empathy, kindness, and deep family connection.
Date: 14-30 Aug 2026
Location: Esplanade Theatre Studio

Unlock the joy of learning Chinese for your little ones with LingoAce!
Its interactive online classes make language learning a fun adventure. From lively sing-alongs to virtual field trips, every lesson sparks curiosity and keeps kids engaged.
We've personally tried their Preschool and P1 Preparatory Programs, and our kids had an absolute blast!

With friendly teachers, a kid-friendly platform, and programs for ages 3-15, LingoAce has everything to start your child's journey to Chinese fluency.
The Learning Lab
Since 2001, The Learning Lab (TLL) has helped thousands of students across Singapore excel in English, Mathematics, and Science.
Classes are kept small at just 10-12 students, so every child gets focused attention from TLL’s expert educators.
TLL’s teachers are subject experts, each trained for over 200 hours and backed by a team of 40+ curriculum specialist. Lessons are closely aligned to the MOE syllabus and extended to build critical thinking and real-world awareness in every student.
Beyond the classroom, students have access to structured revision tools, coloured mind maps, and a digital library that encourages independent reading and a genuine curiosity for learning.
With programmes spanning Preschool to Junior College, TLL supports students at every stage of their academic journey, building the skills and confidence they need to grow.
Find out what TLL can do for your child. Sign up for a lesson experience today.

Suzuka Circuit - Japan’s ultimate driving and mobility-based theme park
We found the ultimate family theme park in Japan. At Suzuka Circuit, you don't just ride the attractions, you get to drive them.
We spent 2 full days here and still felt we could have stayed even longer.
Here’s why it deserves a spot on your Japan itinerary:
🏎️Pilot cars, bikes, boats, off-roaders, and even trains - 30+ attractions that are fun for both adults and kids.
🏁 At the Circuit Challenger, we got to drive the actual Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix course.
🪪 Earn licenses as you complete the missions of each activity. There’s even a driving school where kids can learn real traffic rules while driving through a mini city.
🧩 Family Fun: If you need a chill moment, there are gentler rides and a garden maze our family absolutely loved getting lost in. Plus for the car lovers, the Honda Racing Gallery is packed with F1® machines.
⏱️Barely any queues as we visited in June which is off-peak season. Which meant more rides, less waiting, and very happy kids! Though if you go during a busier season, expect longer queues.
We stayed right next door at Suzuka Circuit Hotel in a 2-story maisonnette (kids had their own upstairs), soaked in the hot spring after, and ate so well at the hotel’s buffet.
